This is something that just dawned on me today that some people may also not have thought about...

I was having a hard time getting anything I liked onto the sphere (what I really wanted was a high-quality version of my avatar on the official WoW forums, but my trials ran out on both Photoshop and Fireworks so I'm unable to convert / create / do anything to get it in there...  If anyone has the ability to create the .blp format for me out of my avatar - I'll use it here so you can just grab it off my post in forums - And is gracious enough to make a sphere skin out of it for me I'd love you long time!) ...

And what I realized is..  Playing around with making my sphere set to the icon of its' action..  The spell icons look REALLY good on the sphere because of their size and quality.  So I took it a step further and started playing with blank macros..

MACRO ICONS LOOK FANTASTIC ON THE SPHERE!

Try it out!  If you don't have a particular use for either the middle, left or right click on your sphere, try just creating a blank macro with an icon that you like and setting your sphere to use the icon of the macro.  If you really NEED to use both the left, middle, and right click options on the sphere for something.. You could always just make a macro to do what you were going to do anyway and just do it that way Smiley

To try out different ones, just pull up the edit menu for the sphere, pull up your macros, and change the icon on the macro you set - You do have to drag it back onto the sphere because it won't automatically refresh the icon when you alter the macro you set.

Make sure you have these options, as shown in the user manual and typed out much more eloquently..

- Edit button mode
- Click sphere and set the option to show icon of whatever you set your macro to
- Toggle settings window
- Skins > Sphere, check the box that says "Use icon for.."

I'll post a screenshot once I get everything sorted out to show how awesome they look.
