Regularly deep-clean all rugs and carpets 

If you have carpets, chances are the pests will try to makes homes in them, as rugs are quite warm and comfortable. Thus, you should make a point of vacuuming all the rugs that you have in the house at least on a weekly basis. If you have pets that stay indoors, you may want to vacuum the living rooms on a more rigorous schedule just to be on the safe side. Vacuuming sucks out the larvae, the eggs as well as the pests that are in your carpets ensuring pest prevention. Once you are done vacuuming, get rid of the dirt in the vacuum bag outdoors. If you can, you should invest in the disposal bags, which you can reseal right after use and get rid of them without risking letting the pests out.

Regularly sterilise your pet's favourite spots

Another way of achieving pest prevention in your home would be to keep track of the areas your pet likes spending time in. If your pet likes lounging by the stairs or under a favourite chair, you will have to ensure that those high traffic areas are sterilised on a regular basis. This prevents the risk of the pests carried around on your pet do not set up a home under your roof.

Pests, such as spiders and mice, will make their way into your home to forage for food. For effective pest control, you could get a pesticide that you could spray outside to ensure that the colonies are killed before they make their way into your home. Ensure you purchase something environmentally friendly. Alternatively, you could enlist the services of pest removal experts. Not only will they be able to spot any hidden pest colonies, but they can eradicate the infestation before the pests get a chance to invade your residence.
